6 Style Ideas to Stay Ahead Of Trends This Monsoon

Let’s admit it! Dressing up for monsoon is fun. While there are few people who are confused about what to wear during monsoons, there are those who use monsoon as an opportunity to experiment with their wardrobe. I am definitely the second type. Be it cotton kurtis, old denims or the floral printed dresses you never got a chance to wear, I prefer to try it all & pick the best style that I am comfortable in. Comfortable clothing is the best trend to follow in any season. Fashion trends change with every season. Let’s have a look at some of my personal favorite fashion trends.

1. Go Short

Short dresses are most convenient to carry during monsoons.  If you stay in Mumbai where density of monsoon is higher than other cities, short are your saviors! You can team up your shorts with quirky accessories like scarf or bright colored cotton jackets. Even plain simple cotton t-shirt will suffice.

2. Play with Colors

Colorful playsuits are my go to outfits for monsoons. Monsoons can put you in a gloomy mood, and wearing colorful clothes will help you brighten up your mood. They are easy to wear, hassle free and give a vibrant look. I prefer wearing dark shades during monsoon as there is a high risk of staining on light colored clothes.

3. Go for Prints

Printed dresses add color to your gloomy monsoon days. They are vibrant and suit everyone. While choosing printed dressed, go for Cotton and Nylon fabric as these fabrics dry quickly. One more benefit of wearing printed clothes is that it helps you hide those muddy stains.

4. Boyfriend Jeans

This is the best option for you if you are a jeans person. Ditch those slim fitted jeans this monsoon n wear Boyfriend jeans. They are straight fitted and are comfortable to wear. You can roll up those cuffs during heavy rains and enjoy dancing in rain.

5. Skirts

Line and midi skirts are my go to for almost every season. Skirts go with any kind of shirt or t-Shirt if paired correctly. You can give it a shot by wearing floral or plain skirts with formal shirts to your workplace n grab all the compliments.

6. Cigarette pants

The best thing I love about cigarette pants are that they are very lightweight and do not stick to your skin. They go with both casual and formal wears. It looks trendy as well as fits perfectly on your figure.
